Tuesday Shoesday Is Back And It’s All About These YSL Fierceness!!!
When the Yves Saint Laurent ‘Opium’ Pumps debuted on their 80’s inspired Spring ’17 runway, i was taken. Not because it is Oh-so-fabulous or anything like that, i mean it’s just another pair of black pumps. The details in the heel, however make them a winner.
There’s this fierceness to it that got me. It is one of those shoes (Permit me to say, like the Louboutin So Kates) that speak authority and makes you feel like you’re in charge, #bosslady! But you get my point.
Anyway, it’s Tuesday and it’s #shoesday and i’m back in your face with these beauties crafted in Italy. I like the fact that the creatives at YSL did not bring this one out in many colors, they have kept it in black leather, set on the iconic ‘YSL’ plaque which comes in Black, Blue and Antique Gold.
Available also in patent leather, there’s the ankle boots and the open toe sandals which i totally love.
Because my Nigerian sisters don’t play, i have spotted enough pairs of these Opium pumps, i already feel like i own one.
This is yet another classic pair and they’d be around for a long, long time to come, yes, even after the next big thing. Take a walk with me in the YSL Opium Pumps.. PRESS PLAY
With a bit of research on reviews here and there, they aren’t easily the most comfortable shoes to wear, but shoe lovers don’t exactly think comfort first. I would buy these for display, you know, like a collector’s item. They are on retail for $770. I know i said in my shoesolution post that comfort comes first, but these are one of those shoes for me that will make me go out of a resolution.
What do you think about them? Absolute Hit or Absolute Miss?
Peace, Love and more shoes,
