ShoesDay Tuesday – Shoe Thrift Shopping In The Heart Of Lagos.

ShoesDay Tuesday – Shoe Thrift Shopping In The Heart Of Lagos.

Addicted to my Instagram timeline as always, I came across some posts from my friend and ex school mate, Nimide. Remember when she was shoespiration?. Nimide has an amazing taste for shoes, at least my kind of amazing. She could easily shop shoes for me and I’d have not a single complaint. We met up in Lagos during my last visit and talked about shoes (Of Course). Then she told me about a place I had heard of in the past called VESPA. It’s a thrift market for shoes. And this right here is why I love Nimide. Not everyone earns in 7 figures and not everyone can afford to spend 70% of their pay on shoes just to keep up. Being the queen of “stay in your lane” and “face your reality”, I was more than curious to find out more from her about the market and how it works. The plan was to go there together but distance would not let me be great. I thought it’d be really unfair to hoard this great find from you guys. With all these buys by Nimide, I don’t even need to go there to know it’s the place to be. So if you are a shoe lover or have a shoe fetish but can’t afford all the luxury brands or deal with the exchange rate and don’t have the opportunity to go abroad to shop first hand, this post is for you. You would rock your Vespa shoes and no one will ever be able to tell where and how you got them except you tell. After stalking Nims...

#ShoesdayTuesday with Dolce & Gabbana

From tax evasion accusations to controversial ad campaigns, the duo of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have one thing in common, overflowing creative juices!! Thinking of what brand to spotlight this morning, as I didn’t have any prepared post, I came across a pair of D & G sandals and I was totally smitten. Looking further at the pieces that were on retail, going from page to page, I couldn’t stop. How did I miss the 2017 Spring/Summer collection in the first place? Not to bore you any further with how detailed and heart pumping the collection is, take a look at all the gorgeousness that is Dolce & Gabbana in Shoes, bags and clothes from the 2017 collection and a few old ones. They have themed sub collections, like what i call the TROPICALS using fruit motifs and embellishments. Embellished stripes and dots in Black & White … The Sailor/Boat cruise themed… Perfect to add a pop of color to an all white dress code for a boat party. Painted prints and patterns… Some of which maybe hand painted. You really just want to collect them and display in a sacred corner. Monotones in real leather, rubber and suede I picked out these pieces to create the Burgundy theme These rafia like woven pieces are a work of art… And then the metallics… These won my heart Timeless pieces in the detailed heels of these wedge sandals And then I put together some outfits for a total look. The brand doesn’t come cheap. You can get a plot of land in a days outfit, but their pieces are...

This One’s For The Sneaker Heads – #ShoesdayTuesday

I’ve never really been a sneaker head, I mean I love all the stylish ways the ladies have been rocking them. I tried it a few times myself, but let’s just say the sneakers are doing better on the shoe rack. Well today is dedicated to the sneaker heads, trust me, I know more than a handful that will give you a run for your money in your Giuseppe Zanotti Cruel Sandals on the red carpet. First let’s take a look at the collaborations between international stars and top sneaker brands in 2015 that have been rated the best or maybe most popular. 1. ADIDAS X KANYE WEST The Kardashians have made it a priority to keep the Yeezy 350, 750 and moon rock sneakers in our faces. Kanye even has one designed and produced for the unborn baby Yeezy. 2. ADIDAS X RITA ORA She really did good with these, my favorite being from the Space Shifter Collection. 3. REEBOK X KENDRICK LAMAR 4. PUMA X RIHANNA I hear there’s a second collection to be released. 5. ADIDAS X PHARELL WILLIAMS 6. JORDAN BRAND X DRAKE 7. ASICS X WALE Nigerian Rap Artiste, Sasha P started with her clothing line Eclectic By Sasha a few years ago, and sometime early this year dropped her sneaker design on us. Well done Sasha!!! There are 2Nigerian Celebrities that I unashamedly love their sneaker game, their styles are exclusive to them, and I just always fall in love with the total outcome.
