Diary Of A SHoe Lover S2 Episode 7 – In His Time He Makes All Things Beautiful!!

Read Episode 6 here “Go Ai, go Ai, go Ai” I screamed at the top of my voice, attempting to compete with the booming sounds from the Bangs and Olusfen speakers in my living room. Wizkid’s Daddy Yo was playing and Aishat was giving us out of this world steps. It felt like our University years again. How I missed those days so much, when all we worried about were boys, making good grades and wearing the best clothes. *sigh* Tonight it was all about Aishat, her journey to being Mrs Timehin Bob Egbe was in full gear and we were going all into it. The family introduction had taken place about 2months after the proposal. We had all gone to the north, to Kano, Aishat’s home town. You would never believe the kind of wealth she was born into. Her father’s mansion was like a city on its own. I mean it was big enough to comfortably accommodate all of us that went with her. It was so much fun and we stayed a few extra days to see enough of the city before we headed back to Lagos. Now this was part two, her bridal shower, almost another 2months after the introduction. The traditional marriage was coming up in the next 2 weeks and the pre-wedding dinner and finally the white wedding the week after. The running around had been such a task. With Ivie nursing Osagie, I was left to do most of the work. She came back to Nigeria as soon as he clocked 3months, so she had missed the introduction. We had been planning...

Diary Of A Shoe Lover – Season 2, Episode 6 – Ugly Revelations And A Baby???

Read Episode 5 Here “Finally, the third musketeer is getting married”, my oldest brother Femi said. Me and my two brothers had gone out to lunch. My immediate older brother Dayo had just come back from Canada. He had been away for almost 2years on a course. It was the first time in over 10years that it would be just the 3 of us together alone, no parents, no significant others, no friends. Just us, it felt really good. I didn’t realize how much time had taken its toll on our sibling relationship. Brother Femi, although many years older had to be the coolest brother in the whole world and despite the drama that had come with him over the years, I still loved him deeply. Dayo and I were closer as were also closer in age. He was and is the ultimate Big brother, he’s the one person that knows practically everything about me, and including the first day I had sex. That was the one person I trusted to keep my secrets. 2years away, even though we chatted almost every day and i had missed him silly. “Who did Aishat finally commit to o, that’s how that girl didn’t marry me” Dayo said, digging into his Ila Alasepo. “You this unserious human being, you guys would never have worked out” I said in reply. “You better look for wife elsewhere” Brother Femi put in. “But seriously, who’s the lucky guy?” Dayo asked “It’s one Timehin guy o, she met him when she went to Canada after she had Khameel.” I said in reply. “Oh Ok, when I...
Diary Of A Shoe Lover – Season 2, Episode 4- Moving On

Diary Of A Shoe Lover – Season 2, Episode 4- Moving On

Read Episode 3 Here Life really does go on, it’s been a few months since our vacation to Brazil and we are all moving on like nothing happened. Ivie was back in her home, almost due to have her baby. We had a surprise baby shower for her last weekend and it was really beautiful. We went all out for  her with a tiffany blue theme, lots of glam, beautiful gifts and a generally lovely time with friends and family in Aisha’s house. She deserved all the love. Eddy was doing all he could to make things better with her – shopping sprees, lunch dates and date nights and very recently, a brand new Mercedez Benz G-Wagon.   “I’m happy to see that things are going on well with you and Eddy, giirrrrllll that G-baby is the real baby” I said, having a light cocktail with Ivie on the night of the baby shower.     She smiled “It’s nice to have all these things Salewa, I love the life of luxury. But you see, ‘things’ don’t cover the matters of the heart. You know, I still struggle with forgiving Eddy fully. I mean there are days I can’t stand the sight of him, days I don’t believe one word he says, days I just want to be lost in his arms cos I love him so much. It has only been the grace of God and now I’m learning to take it one day at a time and pray for God to restore things or at least take the bitterness and anger away completely” She said as she...

It’s been 20 amazing episodes of In Her Closet and i’m thankful for every single interview. Meeting these amazing women and getting a sneak peek into their closets. It’s the start of another season and it’s going to be another round of fabulous women in every sector sharing their style tips and closet secrets. The Cerebral Lemon co, owned by Ex-beauty Queen of the 1998 Miss Lux  beauty pageant, Mrs Ifeoma Williams is a company that constantly seeks to positively influence the perceptions and opinions of African audiences by connecting them to excellent media content. I didn’t quite pay attention to the vast difference between being a stylist and an image consultant until my interview with her. I was more than honored when she granted me this interview. A trained lawyer, a mom of 2 boys, a wife and professional in her image consulting passion now turned career, Ifeoma Williams exudes style with very classy vibes. Giving credit to the Jackie Kennedy Era as her style influence, the Ex BeautyQueen shares a few things with me on this Episode of IN HER CLOSET. Enjoy!!! E-INTERVIEW WITH MRS IFEOMA WILLIAMS JAY: You are an epitome of style, what does style mean to you?   IFEOMA: Style is often misunderstood to mean strictly “dress style”. For me, Style is all encompassing and more than pure appearance. It is the conveyance of an aura of distinction that is hard to define but easy to recognize. JAY: Jackie Kennedy is your style icon, that’s style in the 50’s – 60’s, there were hats (which I’ve seen you love by the way) and bright colors, geometric designs and structures… What...
Diary Of A Shoe Lover – Season 2 Episode 1 – 5 Years After

Diary Of A Shoe Lover – Season 2 Episode 1 – 5 Years After

Read Season 1, Episode 9 here “I have to go now” said Ivie, as she picked up her Gucci bag and car keys and gave me a peck on the cheek. “This Osas’ school management can just be very over sabi, like they love the children more than we the parents. If we’re more than 10 minutes late in picking them up, it’s a  problem” She said, as she waved and walked towards the door of the restaurant where we just had lunch. It had been 5 years after her wedding to Eddy and Hakeem’s proposal to me and so many things had happened. Ivie now had a 4 year old daughter and another baby on the way. Pregnancy suited her and she had stuck to her healthy habits all the way and she remained as fashionable as ever but in a more mature way. Since she got married and had Osas, she was almost always on the move. It was with a deep sense of commitment we had managed to keep our Tuesday lunch dates. Motherhood looked good on her and she was dedicated to it a 100%. Aishat and i teased her a lot about how she had sacrificed her long artificial nails and 30″ weaves for natural nails and braids. Their plans to relocate to the USA had been cancelled, and 2 years into their marriage, she had started a Travel and Tourism Company with plans to resign her paid employment with the Oil and Gas firm she worked for. It had been a tough decision to make, but she also wanted enough time to cater to her family which her paid employment...
