This post will basically be showing you fashion items to keep you in the game.

Narrating: Miss Amanda Obiwuru (Age 40)

I remember the days I'd cry when I drive over a piece of paper or plastic, feeling bad that I had crushed it. Same me, in the same breath, would cuss and get in a blind rage just because someone unintentionally spills water on the table. I have been a bundle of erratic emotions, but I am getting better. I believe I am, in the past 4 years, there has been a lot of progress. I feel like I am no longer tied to the past.

I'm a big fan of the Sex And The City Series and that is where my love for shoes and fashion generally started to manifest. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) literally killed me with every shoe moment. Best part was when Big proposed to her with a pair of Manolo Blahnik 'Hangisi' pumps... *sigh*. The best.

In exactly 13 days, a new chapter of life begins for me. I'm going to say goodbye to my past and pave the way for the future. Full of happy anecdotes, a new story will unfold. I will smile I will cry I will love I will laugh I will be carefree and bold. With a successful real estate business, 3 beautiful children - 2 boys and a girl doing excellently well, a body that betrays my age, peace of mind and good health, I have more than enough reason to be thankful and indeed I am. But there's one thing missing, one thing I've yearned for for 25 years, one thing that I'm finally going after in 13 days.

"Will I ever get out of this?" I thought to myself as bottle after bottle, I drowned myself in my sorrow. The pain, the fear, the loneliness, would it ever go away? I am just existing, living life through the motions. I have nothing to hope for, nothing to look forward to. I have everything but truly I have nothing.     Maybe I should just end it. That should do it, put a gun to my head, but that would be too dramatic. Or maybe jump off a bridge, that'd be attention seeking. An overdose will be perfect, sleep my way to heaven or would it be hell?.

I took another look at my result sheet as I adjusted my behind in the danfo bus to accommodate the stinky woman beside me. It was the last day of the school term and I was on my way home from school. My bus stop was about 10 minutes away and I psyched myself to endure the stench that oozed out of this woman. I concentrated hard on the report sheet in my hands, hoping to use it as a distraction. I felt like I was going to choke to death.       The thought of spending 7 weeks at home on holiday made me sick to my stomach. As usual I was top of my class with 6 Distinctions and 1 B, but the excellent results meant nothing to anyone and at this point not to me. It wouldn't change the fact that dinner will be garri and if I got lucky enough, maybe dry fish or peanuts to go with it.

I spent the 9 months of formation in my mothers womb, travelling around the world. From Asia to Europe, Africa and South America, I visited not less than 10 countries. Then I was born, barely 7 months old and the plane hopping resumed with my Super star mum.     My name is Simisola Obe and I am 9 years old, probably the smartest, kindest, most intelligent, most fun loving and of course most beautiful girl you would ever meet. I know this because my parents tell me every single day that I am all of these and so much more.

Hey Lovers, this one has been cooking for quite some time now, 3 years to be precise. You know one of those stories you start and leave for 6 months, go back to, without ever finishing it.     From The Cradle To The Grave is inspired by real life situations. A story based on the lives of the women around me - Some I grew up with, others I met along the way and some from just across hall. I have always been intrigued by the elements that make up a person's personality and in turn what they turn out to be.

One week, no post. Who missed me? I'm cooking up a storm for the next blog drama series and again i'm excited. While we wait, you can catch up on the just concluded Endangered In Heels.      On today's Style Guide post, I'd be sharing my top 5 accessories to work up a great dress up session. As a plus size, I tend to keep my outfit as simple as possible. As much as I love the edgy, avante garde side of fashion, it is imperative that I keep it simple.
