Styling And Shoe Review

The series "In Her Closet" started here last week after many months of putting together E-interviews with many fashion forward personalities amidst their busy schedules. It's been quite some work, getting direct e-mail addresses, awaiting responses anxiously and getting to the real question and answer section but i love every minute of it. Today's guest is an exciting one. Based in the UK, she's a TV presenter at BEN TV, a journalist, a fashion and beauty editor with CHubs Magazine, UK, a talk show host at Free voice radio and an all round media personality. It's the beautiful mother of 2, Tomi Badejoko. [caption id="attachment_1971" align="aligncenter" width="660"] Tomi badejoko[/caption] Her session was an interesting one and straight from the heart, you would know for sure she knows her fashion a 100%. I had no doubt about it even before the interview. Read through the interview after the cut. [caption id="attachment_1972" align="aligncenter" width="649"] Dazzling in T Bar Pointed courts.[/caption] The Interview JAY: What is style to you? TOMI: Style to me, is an expression of yourself, without speaking. [caption id="attachment_1958" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Look at those Tbar sandals on her. She sure expresses her self well.[/caption] JAY: Has Transitioning into motherhood changed your style preference in anyway? TOMI: Hmmm...

All my corporate work life put together don't add up to a year, to be exact 3 months at an IT firm and about 5 months at a mortgage bank, both during my National Youth Service year. Apart from the monotonous life style, another thing I found really boring and somewhat depressing was the fashion, to be specific the shoe fashion. Well laid hair, Lovely Shirt, Properly fitted Skirt/Pants, nice accessories and down to the feet, boring black or brown flats, or at the most, open toe pumps, bleh, bleh, bleh! I know there are restrictions in many organizations especially when it comes to colors of footwear but I always say neutrals (black, brown, nude, grey) DO NOT have to be a bore. I will show you some really nice neutral colored footwear you can wear to work that will have everyone looking at your feet. Paying a little extra attention to the details of your shoes will make all the difference in the boardroom without being a major distraction. This one is a little played down with the contrasting nude heels and back.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1863" align="aligncenter" width="630"] Perfect for the last day of work, All black but with gold zip detailing and fringes. Pair with a nice skater dress and you can even make it to the club or cocktails after work.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1862" align="aligncenter" width="630"] In comparison to an all black leather variation, the mesh inserts make them more interesting. Fierce but trendy.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1861" align="aligncenter" width="630"] Not an everyday option,Quite a sharp shade of blue but if worn right, you can't go wrong with these ones.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1860" align="aligncenter" width="629"] This tan lace up booties are everything and would fit in anywhere.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1859" align="aligncenter" width="629"] What a way to speak the language pf boardroom love. The Met Gala for those who don't know and can't really bothered is basically an annual fund raising gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute in NY, USA usually to mark the grand opening of the institute's annual fashion exhibit. To cut the long story short, it is a fashion event and with fashion comes shoes and where there are shoes, don't even get me started. Each year has a theme and this theme dictates the dress code for the night. Last year if we remember was themed "China: Through the looking glass" and that was where we had Beyoncé and Rihanna in these outfits [caption id="attachment_1773" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Beyonce's Raunchy Givenchy Dress from Met2015[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1774" align="aligncenter" width="499"] I don't really know what Rihanna was trying to do but yea...

It's Wednesday, surprisingly one of my favorite days of the week after Friday, and no don't ask me why. I've been working on a project that has left me on a constant high, even though it is eating up into the almost no time that I have, but then again, that's content for another day. The end justifies the means (or something like that) and I can bet you guys will be as excited as I am now when it materializes. Everyday is a great day to flaunt a new pair of shoes whether on the runway or the sidewalk, boardroom, classroom or even in your living room. A well fitted, comfortable and elegant pair of shoes on well pedicured feet changes the game. When I came across the OSCAR TIYE AND NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD SPRING 2016 COLLECTION, I thought what's not to share. From the colors to the textures and edgy designs, there's sure to be a spring in your step. Nicholas Kirkwood, celebrating 10years of the designer's brand and known for his sculptural and artistic craftsmanship came out no less with this collection that was a revamp of signature styles using textures, colors, silhouettes and cuts. In addition are heels with form, voluptuous and reminiscent of the pumps of the 50's.
