Sole Divas Christmas Give Away: The Smart Money Woman Book

Sole Divas Christmas Give Away: The Smart Money Woman Book

It’s been a long year for many of us. And especially here in Nigeria, we can’t deny the fact that the recession is biting hard. There’s been a lot of shoe reviews on the blog and so many foot candy released through the year. Of course many shoe lovers have had to break bank just to get a pair or 2 of their favorite designers. And with the less expensive pairs, it’s still been a struggle with the sky rocketing exchange rates.

I found this really funny…

Personally I am looking forward to making smarter financial choices in the new year as man shall not live by shoes alone. As much as I love shoes, I don’t want to be Carrie Bradshaw (in sex and the city) who had so many shoes and couldn’t afford a place to live. It makes no sense to have a closet full of shoes and an empty bank account with debts here and there.

How many of us are here?

So me…

A friend of mine recommended a book recently, titled “The Smart Money Woman Book” by Arese Ugwu. It’s focused on the Nigerian working class girl and her finances. It’s really practical. A finance book is the last thing I’d pick up because I always get bored or confused before the end of the prologue.

But this book was so easy to relate with as it had characters that could easily be me or you. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to sort out their personal finances and take control of their financial security.

Best part is, you learn how to better prioritize and fit in those shoes into your budget from time to time. One lucky reader will get a copy of the book this Christmas. All you have to do is

  • Follow SOLEDIVAS on Instagram and Twitter,
  • Tag at least 2friends on the post relating to this give away on our instagram page,
  • Leave a comment on this post sharing one fashion item gone wrong you bought in the year and was a waste of money to you.
  • Winner will be announced on the 23rd of December, 2016.

Peace, Love and Smart Financial Choices

XoXo

I’m so taking part in this Christmas promo… Who knows I could be the winner ?

That one fashion item that was a waste of money…hmmm! So I went to central market to get very ‘shoe-unrelated’ items a few months ago and then passed by a shoe shop, saw a pair of red loafers that was on sales cos of a slight damage probably from transporting it. It fit perfectly when I tried it on or that’s what it felt like… I knew I shouldn’t have bought it but I did all the same hoping I’d fix it with very little money and rock the shoes. *yinmu* story! I only wore the shoes once and as quickly as I got it I gave it out!

Happy I could add to someone’s shoe collection but really, did I need to waste money? ?
