My Pregnant Feet

My Pregnant Feet

Guess who just had a baby, yea me!!! Yayyy!! It’s been a long 38weeks (36weeks pregnant plus 2weeks post delivery). Can I blame my haphazard posts on the pregnancy?, please do. Honestly, it’s been a lot. But hey I still managed to bring you some juice, so show me some love. No???

Ok, read all about my pregnancy story and then show me some love, hehehehehe.

Conception, Pregnancy And Delivery

We’ve had 6 episodes of my new E-series In Her Closet, and that promises to be back next week Friday unfailingly, there’s a backlog of interviews from your favorite people and you definitely don’t want to miss it.

Today’s post is a welcome back post (It’s been a month) and I’d be sharing briefly on my pregnant feet. You all know how I love to keep the feet looking fab no matter the condition or occasion. Pregnancy is not an exception. In the first 2 trimesters it may be easy to get away with heels and your regular pre-pregnancy shoes. But in your last trimester, if you are always tired, over weight and carrying a bump that doesn’t allow you see your toes, you want all the comfort you can get.

So, I’d be showing you some really nice and certainly comfortable luxury flat sandals and slippers I craved to have and are still on my wish list. And then some easily affordable ones that I could lay my hands on. Unfortunately, I didn’t do any photo shoots (shoot me), I would have loved to.

Christian Louboutin Devibroda Sandals…. Gosh, I still want these babies so bad!!!

By merely looking at a pair of shoes, you can feel the lushness and comfort from pictures, that is what the picture of these puma slides did to me. I have @tvshpr and @lisafolawiyo to testify to this.

These Rihana’s Puma Fenty Slides look like everything they’ve been reviewed to be.

There are a whole lot of others from Paul Andrew to Gucci, Giuseppe Zanotti and even Nike, but these ones were my favorite. They cost from about $450 – $1,500. If you can afford them, the best time to pamper yourself and indulge in some splurge is when you are pregnant, takes all the blues away.

All I wanted were basic flat sandals because my feet were swollen half the time, I didn’t want to have to cramp them in ballet pumps. Comfort for me comes first and most of my favorite footwear designers agree that comfortable should never translate to boring.

More affordable options, equally fabulous and durable were these ones I found from shoedazzle, newlook and justfab for about $30 – $50.

Just Fab Detailed Ankle Strap Sandals, wide fit and very comfortable.

Newlook White Plaited Sandals, white is always lush

I could rock these everyday, absolutely beautiful!!!

Also From New Look, Perfect for Weddings too. The Pearl details are everything

An absolute life saver, these slides speak everything comfort, simple and easy. For just 5pounds, it’s not difficult to pick them up in every color.

Available in these neon shade too. Yummy!!!

These brought some kind of “africanness” to an outfit when paired with denim shorts or pants.

Up and About and Everywhere

I opted mostly for thong sandals to have enough space for my feet to play around. I hate those marks that come with multi strap sandals. Just be sure to have a good pedicure.

Preggy fashion should never be boring. Waiting for some sugar from you all. The posts would build up slowly but surely. I’m still nursing myself back to health and nursing my baby too plus two older siblings on summer holiday. But we’d have fun with it.

What’s the craziest heel height you’ve worn in your 3rd trimester and how long did you last, use the comment section. Until next time,

Peace, love and More Shoes
