This is one fashion event you don’t ever want to miss if you are a fashion enthusiast like me. Unfortunately I have had to miss it two years in a row.
I look forward to my first appearance there which I know will cover up for the previous shows.
Omoyemi Akerele,a trained and practicing lawyer followed her passion for design and ventured into fashion designing as CEO of Style House Files. She created and launched the Lagos Fashion And Design Week 5 years ago and it has been a very great platform to showcase the many talents in the fashion industry.
It’s not all about the glam and runway, it also serves as an entrepreneurial training ground for networking and exchange of ideas to boost the business side of fashion and in turn showcase the Nigerian fashion industry as a worthy ground for foreign investors.
Nigerians sure don’t play, each year has seen the runway evolve with creative pieces. I stalked every possible social media handle and couldn’t help but share some of my favorite looks with focus on their foot wear of course ?.

Kessiana Thorley was a fresh of breath air… Clean, street style ensemble… Her mules, WINNER!!!
Ozinna looked very relaxed in this print cold shoulder dress, and her bow mules, I think are by a Nigerian designer, I will look into it and get the details. Tres chic… Love it!!!
I’m dropping this right here just for this Bubu Isigo design.. It’s one of those pieces you want to wear. Let’s just assume she had metallic ankle strap sandals underneath or just simply, enjoy the dress ?

The variations of strappy sandals that hit the runway!!!
Noble igwe dresses up without your opinion in mind, because it doesn’t matter. AND he owns his style and kills it ALWAYS
Style blogger Toyosi Clay all toned up!! Lace and pumps
Toke Makinwa did justice to the dress but would have left the Ronnie mules for another outfit, the total ensemble of the model, did it better for me.

Until next year,
Peace, love and runway love
